- Religion has been getting a free ride for too long. Religion is being used as an excuse to justify mass murder, to avoid paying taxes, and to violate basic human rights. There are no truths in religion, only speculations. Too many people are led to believe that there is justice in an afterlife, so they take no action against those who oppress them. Too many people have been told to "turn the other cheek" for their masters to slap, leaving the rest of us vulnerable to oppression.

Groupthink
I finally found it! I can articulate a key component of religion, probably the most powerful tool used by religious structures, It's called Groupthink. It also goes by another name, Mob action, or just plain mob.
